| t5's, pc's, or MH's? |

I have a 24 gallon AP with stock lighting and I really want to upgrade..
I know that people have modified their hood by adding a third PC bulb or by completely replacing them with T5's. Is one better then the other? or should I just loose the hood and go with 150wMH? |

alot of people have T-5s. They give lots of color options and can give out great par as well. And yea, it all depends on what coral you want.

You can do the T5 or MH ugrade and handle those and much more easily.. The standard lighting would fall short.

I'd say go with mh, that way if you get into sps you could get them without having to upgrade again, plus mh bulbs last longer and they make your colors look really neonish bright.

I'm not real familiar with LEDs but I hear they're EPICLY AMAZING!!!!

Most likely I will go with MH... any good models that will fit an AP 24?
and 150w or 250w? I have heard that the 250's can bleach pretty good, lol |

I put a sweet LED array into my BC14 and it cost me $200. You can get a MH fixture for less, but then buying the bulbs... My LEDs are rated for 10 years (and then they only decrease to 70% output! not bad!) and I'm only running them about 60% so I probably have more like 15 years. MH bulbs for 15 years = how much $ exactly? |

If I do get the sunpod 150 and I want to add one more fixture to hold an actinic bulb(to add a little more blue tint) would that be okay to do?
