Hello,
Have been reading and researching on this site for awhile now and I finally moved into our new house and set-up a 25g with 10g sump. I have been buying my water but I have this unit (I believe its an RO unit) that I found in the basement. It's connected to the water supply and appears to have been connected to a small spout that is on the kitchen sink for drinking water (currently disconnected, we have a filter on the fridge). My question is, can I use this for water for the aquarium? If so, I should but a separate DI unit, right? How do I connect it all together? Last, where do I get new inserts (filters?)? Thanks. Probably dumb questions but never done this before. Mike

Looks like this:
![]() It should be easy enough to put a T fitting (and shutoff valves) after the filter to divert the water through a DI canister. |

You can buy the 20" filters from spectrapure I believe.
