ok so here is what i was thinking i have an nc24 and a 10g tank and i want to add a fuge to my rsm 34 so im going to put a overflow on the back of the rsm 't' that off so that it drains in to the third chamber of the nc24 where ill have the stock pump pump the water in to the tank and ill put the drain in the first chamber and i am going to drill the bottom of the first chamber that will then drain into the return chamber of the 10g sump to be pumped back up to the dt sorry if i dont explain it well

Sounds complicated. I'd consider a larger sump (shared between your two display tank). The return pump could be split into two and fed to both tanks. Each tank could overflow into the common sump/fuge. IDK, just a thought.

Probably large enough for equipment and chaeto, but I'm worried about power outages causing an overflow. You could test it easy enough (be prepared to with lots of towels).

Remember the lower that the returns are in the display tank, the more water will siphon back into the the sump when the return pump shuts off (power outage or whatever). If they are near water level, your 10 gallon sump should be fine.
