6500K supplement light?

i have a jbj pico with a 12" coralife 50/50 36 watt light, but it has to be raised 4inches and go thru thick plexi. i have sps light birds nest, green cap, digi,catus. so i want to add more light will 6500k PC help? has any one used only 6500K for a reef tank? huh.gif

If it does anything, you'll probably see more algae growth with that color temp.

Why does it have to be raised so high and go through thick plexi?

the light is suspended by the plexi (so nothing is touching the tank) and it cant go lower cuz the refugium light is in the way.
so far no algae this is day 6 with it on, is it helping ? my birds nest looks better i think?
