Ok sooner or later i will remember to get the video camera from my parents and make a really high quality video but for now i used my macbooks webcam to record my 2 Bluespot Jawfish eating some mysis shrimp... unfortunately the color sucks and gets worse when i get close to them due to lack of light (i don't have a very powerful light on the tank yet) but anyways i think it's worth posting for anyone who wants to see 2 bluespots together!

yeah they are deceptively fast, you can really see how they could be amazing jumpers with that kind of speed! and yeah the hermit falling off was a nice addition to the video i didn't see till after i recorded it, they just go nuts when i feed the tank its hilarious.

Very nice video. smile.gif Were they purchased as pairs? I've ready that Bluespots tend to be aggressive towards their own unless mated.

Very cool! Yeah I noticed right away that the crabs seemed to be running after the food! My bigger crab does the same thing. Amazing how fast the fish and the crabs are! Survival of the fastest.

So did the one on the left move all those big rocks around his cave?? Those are pretty impressive!

I enjoyed the video. I have a BSJF in my BC29. I didn't realize how fast they were. Mine is lazy and I feed him with a turkey baster. He comes right up to it and eats the mysis right from the tip.

hazmat.... these fish have really large mouths. My blue will move snails and hermits away from his burrow.

yeah, actually that video is reversed my tank is the opposite way but the webcam does this mirror thing, anyway yeah the jawfish can move really big rocks its incredible to watch, they also are very particular about placement they will tap at rocks with their jaw just the slightest bit to get it to move a fraction of an inch to get the overall hole the perfect size, its awesome!

Well they were put in a 120 gallon display refugium at the store with a few others and they were the 2 that survived and had burrows close to each other and never showed any signs of aggression so they are either male/female pair or just really tolerant of each other, obviously i'm hoping they are male/female but i can't find that out if/when they decide to spawn...
