Future Plans

I have an overflow box custom built by nano-reef member Calvin415 that I am going to use to plumb to a 5 gallon sump. The rockwork on the left side of the tank will be covered in assorted corals. The rockwork on the right I would like to have covered in macro algae.

Thanks for coming to look at my new tank.

Neat lil tank!

Can I ask where you got your lighting, how much was it, and would it be good enough to grow leathers, torch, frogpawn, and hammer corals? I LOVE the idea of a clip on light, plus it gives the shimmery effect (from being high above the waters surface).

Keep it up!

His lighting is the Viper in the equipment list. It's metal halide and depending on wattage and tank size you can keep whatever corals you want with it.

Very cool setup constant

Thank you!

I bought it from doctors foster and smith with a stock 14,000K bulb.

Yes over a 10 gallon I can use it to keep pretty much any coral I want.

The bulb is a cheapo I bought for $20 to experiment with the 20,000K spectrum, now that I know I like it I will be upgrading to a better bulb, probably an Aqualine AB.
