Hey guys I'm new here and just thought I would share the progress of my new tank. Here are some pictures from the day I got the tank ( 12/11/07) and current pics from yesterday (1/15/08).

Current Solana rimless cube, current 150w sunpod w/ pheonix 14k, current satellite 36w t-5 fixture dual actinic, converted ato section to refugium w/ cheato. Phosban reactor running elos carbon/seachem phosgaurd.

Livestock includes:

2 ora b+w clowns

1 fourline wrasse

1 falco hawkfish

1 blood cleaner

1 green carpet anenome

20 turbo/astrea snails

5 scarlet hermit crabs

20+ sps frags and small colonies including cali tort, blue enchinata, ora blue mille, chipps acro, green, red caps, various tri colors, bob moore stag etc... I will be adding a couple rare encrusting montis and a or tort very soon.

lps and softies include duncans coral, ricordea, zoos

In the future...

I'm looking for a zebra maxima clam and a couple croceas to add here in the next month or so. Also more zoos and ricordea. For fish I want to add a yasha Hase goby and pistol shrimp also within the next month or so.

Just waiting for everything to grow out so I will update this thread w/ pics and new additions...

Hope you enjoy...

~Jayson

That is probably the best looking tank out so far. I really like the way the SunPod looks with the Solana Tank and Stand. The combination of the 3 looks really classy and elegant, simply changing the color of the stand can make it fit into any family/living room. I am thinking about just getting the stand for my tank, the wood would match the furniture in my family room, a good sell point when negotiating things with the wife. ;)

That is half the reason I got this one. My wife really liked it... One thing about the stand, it's nice but rather cheap. It's not the sturdiest of stands that is for sure.
that rock work looks awesome.
Thanks! it took a good 2-3 hours just to put together...

Whoa thnks for warning me about the stand. I may just get the stand made for the NanoCube MH HQI, I thnk that one has a spot builtin for a chiller, but it doesn't look as nice as the solana stand.

spectacular aquascape.

i think you're adding stuff realllllly fast and putting yourself at risk for heartache in the near future, but time will tell. this is one of the most original aquascapes i've seen in a while so i hope everything works out.

Yep I really should slow down but it's tough to do... :D I actually added a few more things over the last couple days as well. Everything is doing awesome! corals are starting to encrust and new growth tips are popping out on most of the sps. Infact here are a few more pics of my progress...Thanks for the kudos guys!~Jayson

Can you put up a shot of your back chambers? I'm interested to see how you set up the refugium and how your phosban reactor hangs.

Thanks.

can you post a pic of your lighting set up with the PC's on how do y7ou have them configured???

I actually have current t-5's along with the sunpod. It is the 20" version and has legs just like the sunpod. I'll work on some pics tonight.

Thanks,

Jayson
