Second- Tank update is lacking because I worked 70 hours last week and didn't even get to look at my own tank. Should have time after work sometime this week... maybe. Holiday season is nuts. Everyone\'s favorite piece of the reef- Found some reef safe magnets. Wish I had these a long time ago... There would be a lot more coral hanging on my back walls. PM me if you\'re interested in some... Got 5 pairs or so I can sell. All the little \"bumps\" are new growth. Stupid paly\'s of death have fully recovered from my stabbing spree with kalk paste... And they\'re growing back with a vengeance. Little crabby in there. Euphyllia mountain Mangroves grow every time I spray them down... Seriously, 24 hours after a good spritz, they\'re looking great. kgoldy Posted January 5, 2012 Author Share Posted January 5, 2012 Girlfriend notes- Went upstate, did not go skiing because of freakishly warm weather, so all bones are still intact. Aileen goes back to India tomorrow... then tank gets attention again. No surprise fish for Christmas. DO NOT go see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo on a date. Worst idea ever. Horrifically graphic and lengthy rape scene is pretty terrible and really sticks with you. Tank notes- Sudden partial die off of two acro colonies happened this week... The parts that died off are what is now in the shadows under the new lighting. Is it normal for acros robbed of lighting to have their flesh slough off? The parts that are still exposed to light are doing fine... No change in coloration. Got a 20 foot active USB cord so I can program Radions from my PC while they're over my reef. Starting to increase intensity tomorrow. Brought home my metal cutoff wheel to adjust my new light rack and drop the Radions from 11 inches above water down to 8 inches. Reef Cleaners order coming Friday. CUC upgrade, and mantis food coming. Then no more tank upgrades for a while because I'm planning a trip to India, and/or Sri Lanka and Maldives in March and a trip to Cayman next month. Looks like I'm just going to have to sit back and watch coral grow for a while. Saturday I get to see Kat's tank in person, and will convince her to ditch the RSM and go with a 75 RR. Link to comment
