I will be adding mine soon, I put together a temp. LED fixture yesterday with some cheap ebay LED's.. so far everything seems happy with the added light... the leds from ebay are ok, but the white are a bit to yellow/orange.. still better then the T5 I had on the tank... gotta love the shimmer! NOw that I have things figured out I will grab some Cree's and make a more permanent fixture.

Thank you. Not stopping you from posting in other threads. Just wanted to keep this one uncluttered for finished projects.

Thanks to everyone who has posted it has been a great help. Once I went topless with my BC14 I wasn't sure how to add some actinic supplement light. Now I have what I call a bikini top on to cover up the essentials with a 150 Watt 14k Phoenix and 4 Cree XRE Royal Blues. I have cleaned up the wires since these pics. The Leds are washed out with the halide but are amazing for dusk and dawn lighting. My orange zoos, acan, and orange plate look like they have neon lights built in.

This is my 48" LED fixture build. It was built to replace the 4 54w T5s (2 double Hagen GLO units) over my Fluval Osaka 320 reef tank. The main components are 24 White CREE XR-E R2 (WC Bin) and 24 CREE XR-E Royal Blue LEDs with 60 degree optics driven with buckpucks and controlled by an arduino with RTC and temp sensor etc.
