StevieT
They never pursued it further. I told them I would return the Net module if they replaced the corals that were killed. That was the end. Link to comment
Martin_S
Still the 130 Stevie.. Any expansion plans ? Link to comment
StevieT
Not right now, I have very little free time with a house and two jobs. I barely get to see this tank. Link to comment
JanHelge
I started the skimmer after the rock and sand was added and in 1 day the cup is full of water. Looks like clear water and alot, is this correct or do I have to much bubbles on ? I makes also some noise now when its so full. Link to comment
StevieT
Dial down the bubbles so they only come half way up in the tube. THe skimmer needs 2 weeks to break in Link to comment
Jacobnano
More pics! Then you can see the tank more often! Link to comment

JamesReef
Is that your face in the reflection, or is the RSM haunted? By the way, that is so cool how your clown will eat off your finger! How long did it take him to start doing that? Link to comment
bhskicker18
Its probable in here somewhere, but how did you get everything from your Eclipse 12 to the MAX? What did you do with the new live rock? Did you add a bacteria addictive? Did you cycle the tank? I'm upgrading my 10 Gallon Reef to a BioCube 29 and was wondering if you could tell me EVERYTHING that you did. Thanks Will Link to comment
iglowce
WOW this is by far the most organized and detailed blog of one's tank nice job! Link to comment
JamesReef
Agreed, fantastic tank. Stevie, to attain that rock height even going back to your first setup pics, did you putty, zip-tie or rod it, or is it just stacked allowing you can change scape down the road? Link to comment

How long did it take him to start doing that? It must be haunted I probably started playing around with hand feeding 1.5 years ago. They will nip at your fingers until they realize it isn't food. Then I cave and give them a few flakes. Its probable in here somewhere, but how did you get everything from your Eclipse 12 to the MAX? What did you do with the new live rock? Thanks Will Most of it is on the first page I cycled the new rock for one month, bacteria additive is a wast of money. After it was done I transferred the old rock from the eclipse. Scaped the tank. Then added the corals. WOW this is by far the most organized and detailed blog of one's tank nice job! Thank you Agreed, fantastic tank. Stevie, to attain that rock height even going back to your first setup pics, did you putty, zip-tie or rod it, or is it just stacked allowing you can change scape down the road? It is just stacked. When I first set it up I tried the putty but it didn't work. Just hours and hours of struggling to get them to fit correctly. Link to comment
Chod
Hi StevieT or any other RSM owners, Firstly, this thread inspired me to try my luck with a second hand RSM130. I got lucky buying a Used RSM for 300$. Replaced the heater and the rest seems to work fine. I will be looking to replace the skimmer with a Tunze 9002 as is suggested here and get a media filter and the modified cup. That is if i can ever find a canadian retailer that will see it. Any suggestions as to where to buy in Canada? (Im in Vancouver) I have a quick question about water level. You suggest to have the water level at 1/4" lower then the black molding, I wonder however would this modification allow me to have the water level at the top? Perhaps its a silly way to spend 20 odd dollar, although maybe i can do something similar myself. I apologise if this has been mentioned before, I have read the first half of this thread but I am overloaded with information. http://www.seaquestmarine.com/Red_Sea_MAX_...p/rsm_40287.htm It basically limits the water movement from only the top of the tank. Perhaps more effectively then the grate/flap thing thats already there. Edit* I should note that this comes standard with the 130D. Thanks in advance, Keep up the good work! Link to comment
StevieT
The surface skimmer attachment allows you to run your water level higher. I never installed it because it is "huge" in my opinion and I don't want to see it in the tank. I also enjoy seeing my water level for many technical reasons. Link to comment
